ChargEasy LLC’s Privacy Policy for the United States

2.1 Information Needed to Use the ChargEasy LLC Platform.

We collect personal information about you when you use the ChargEasy LLC Platform. Without it, we may not be able to provide all the services requested. This information includes:

• Contact, Account, and Profile Information. Such as your first name, last name, phone number, postal address, email address, date of birth, and profile photo, some of which will depend on the features you use.

• Identity Verification and Payment Information. Such as images of your government-issued ID (as permitted by applicable laws), your ID number or other verification information, a selfie when we verify your ID, bank account or payment account information. ​​If you are not an ChargEasy LLC user, we may receive payment information relating to you, such as when a ChargEasy LLC user provides your payment card to complete a booking. If a copy of your ID is provided to us, we may scan, use, and store information contained in your ID to verify your identity and for security purposes.

2.2 Information You Choose to Give Us.

You can choose to provide us with additional personal information. This information may include:

• Additional Profile Information. Such as gender, preferred language(s), city, and personal description. Some of this information as indicated in your account settings is part of your public profile page and will be publicly visible.

• Information About Others. Such as a payment instrument belonging to another person or information about a co-traveler. By providing us with personal information about others, you certify that you have permission to provide that information to ChargEasy LLC for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and you have shared the ChargEasy LLC Privacy Policy with them.

• Address Book Contact Information.

• Other Information. Such as when you fill in a form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, post to community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with ChargEasy LLC Support and other Members, import or manually enter address book contacts, provide your address and/or geolocation, or share your experience with us. This may include health information if you choose to share it with us.

2.3 Information Automatically Collected by Using the ChargEasy LLC Platform and Our Payment Services.

When you use the ChargEasy LLC Platform and Payment Services, we automatically collect personal and other information. This information may include:

• Geolocation Information. Such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address, mobile or other device’s GPS, or other information you share with us, depending on your device settings. We may also collect this information when you’re not using the app if you enable this through your settings or device permissions.

• Usage Information. Such as the pages or content you view, searches for Listings, bookings you have made, additional services you have added, and other actions on the ChargEasy LLC Platform.

• Log Data and Device Information. Such as details about how you’ve used the ChargEasy LLC Platform (including if you clicked on links to third-party applications), IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, device event information, unique identifiers, crash data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the ChargEasy LLC Platform. We may collect this information even if you haven’t created a ChargEasy LLC account or logged in.

• Cookies and Similar Technologies As Described in Our Cookie Policy.

• Payment Transaction Information. Such as payment instrument used, date and time, payment amount, payment instrument expiration date and billing postcode, PayPal email address, IBAN information, your address, and other related transaction details.

2.4 Personal Information We Collect from Third Parties.

We collect personal information from other sources, such as:

• Third-Party Services. If you link, connect, or login to the ChargEasy LLC Platform with a third-party service (e.g., Google, Facebook, WeChat), you direct the service to send us information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information as controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.

• Background Information. For Members in the United States, to the extent permitted by applicable laws, we may obtain, for example, reports of criminal records, sex offender registrations, and other information about you and/or your background. For Hosts in India, to the extent permitted by applicable laws, we may perform criminal background checks. For Members outside of the United States, to the extent permitted by applicable laws and with your consent where required, we may obtain police, background, or registered sex offender checks. We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth, to obtain such reports.

• Referrals and Co-Travelers. If you are invited to the ChargEasy LLC Platform, for example, as a co-traveler on a trip to host location, the person who invited you can submit personal information about you such as your email address or other contact information.

• Other Sources. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may receive additional information about you, such as references, demographic data, or information to help detect fraud and safety issues from third-party service providers and/or partners and combine it with information we have about you.

3.1 Provide, Improve, and Develop the ChargEasy LLC Platform.

We may process this information to: enable you to access the ChargEasy LLC Platform and make and receive payments, enable you to communicate with other Members, process your request, perform analytics, debug, conduct research, provide customer service training, send you messages and account notifications, process insurance claims, personalize your experience, enable enterprise products, and so on. If you provide contacts’ information, we may process it to facilitate invitations, detect and prevent fraud, and coordinate trip planning.

3.2 Create and Maintain a Trusted and Safer Environment.

We may process this information to detect and prevent fraud, security incidents, and other harmful activities, conduct investigations, verify identities, perform checks, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect health and safety, enforce our agreements, comply with laws, and assess your interactions with the platform. Automated processes could restrict or suspend your access if activity poses a risk to ChargEasy LLC or the community. If you want to challenge automated decisions, contact us.

3.3 Provide, Personalize, Measure, and Improve our Advertising and Marketing.

We may process this information to send promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other info based on preferences; personalize, measure, and improve advertising; run referral programs, surveys, contests; analyze characteristics to send targeted marketing; invite you to events; and send you promotional info that may interest you.

3.4 Analyzing and Sharing Your Communications.

We may review or analyze communications on the ChargEasy LLC Platform for fraud prevention, security, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, product development, research, or support. Images uploaded by users may also be scanned for illegal or inappropriate activities. We primarily use automated tools, but sometimes manual review is required. We don’t use this data for marketing third-party products or services.

3.5 Linking Third-Party Accounts.

You can link your ChargEasy LLC account with certain third-party services. Information provided from linking accounts may appear on your public profile, show your shared connections, or be processed for fraud prevention. Publication of linked info is subject to your settings on both the ChargEasy LLC Platform and the third-party service.

3.6 Provide Payment Services.

Personal information is used to enable or authorize third parties to use Payment Services, such as to detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, or security incidents, comply with legal obligations, enforce Payment Terms, and provide or improve Payment Services.

4.1 Sharing With Your Consent or at Your Direction.

Where you provide consent, we share your information as described at the time of consent. We may also use certain de-identified info about you to promote our products and services on social media or partner sites.

4.2 Sharing Between Members.

We share information to help facilitate bookings or other interactions between Members. For example, Hosts and Guests receive each other’s profile, phone number, and certain booking details. If there’s a co-host, that co-host also sees relevant booking details.

4.3 Information You Publish in Profiles, Listings, and Other Public Information.

You can make certain information publicly visible (profile photo, city, listing pages, reviews). Public info on ChargEasy LLC may be indexed by search engines and appear on third-party sites. You may opt-out in account settings.

4.4 Host Service Providers.

Hosts may use third-party services to help manage or deliver their services. We may share certain Guest information (like name, phone number) with such service providers to facilitate the booking.

4.5 Complying with Law, Responding to Legal Requests, Preventing Harm and Protecting Our Rights.

We may disclose your information if required or permitted by law or if reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g., valid subpoenas), respond to claims, prevent harm, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, property, or safety of ChargEasy LLC, Members, or the public. We may also notify you about legal requests if appropriate.

4.6 Programs with Managers and Owners.

We may share personal information of Hosts and Guests with landlords or property managers to facilitate certain programs, ensure compliance with laws, and handle security or billing matters.

4.7 Host Information Provided to ChargEasy LLC for Work Customers.

If a booking is designated for business and the enterprise is enrolled in ChargEasy LLC for Work, we may disclose booking details (e.g., Host name, address) to the enterprise or third parties engaged by that enterprise.

4.8 Service Providers.

We share personal information with service providers to help run our business (e.g., identity verification, background checks, analytics, fraud prevention, customer service, payments). These providers are contractually bound to protect your information. Other Members can use outside services as well, which are subject to their own laws and policies.

4.9 Business Transfers.

If ChargEasy LLC undergoes a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar event, we may transfer your information as part of that transaction. We’ll notify you before your personal information is transferred to a new privacy policy.

4.10 Corporate Affiliates.

We may share personal information within our corporate family related by common ownership or control. For example, your information can be shared with ChargEasy LLC, Inc. to provide infrastructure and continue delivering the ChargEasy LLC Platform.

6.1 Managing Your Information.

You can access and update some of your personal information through your Account settings. If you linked your account to a third-party service, you can unlink in your settings. You are responsible for keeping your information up to date.

6.2 Data Access and Portability.

In some jurisdictions, you may request certain copies of your personal information or ask us to transmit this information to another provider if technically feasible.

6.3 Data Erasure.

In some jurisdictions, you can request that your personal information be deleted. However, we may retain it as necessary for legitimate business interests (like fraud prevention), legal obligations (tax and auditing), or if it’s part of public content (like Reviews). Backup copies may persist temporarily.
